Foreign geologists of SL origin to join investigations on recent earth tremors

The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau states that an expert committee has already been appointed to investigate  recent numerous earth tremors took place in several areas in the country, and that Geologists in other countries have expressed their willingness to contribute to the ongoing investigations.

Several Sri Lankan Geologists who are currently residing in other countries such as Australia and Canada will be contributing towards these investigations online.

The Bureau stated that a unprecedented series of tremors reported in the country  within short frequencies and it is currently in the process of investigating these tremors further.
