General Election 2020: Disaster Management Unit set up for Election
A special 24-hour operational Unit of the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) was established today (04) to face emergencies that may arise during the upcoming General Election.
Disaster Management Centre Media Spokesman, Pradeep Kodippili stated that the joint venture, established under the direction of the DMC Chairman and the Election Commission Chairman, has been tasked with formulating a plan to face any emergency situation that could arise in relation to the General Election.
The unit will be active until Friday (07).
The public has been advised to utilise the following numbers to report any emergency situation: 070-2117117, 011-3668032, 011-3668087, 011-3668025, 011-3668026 and 011-3668119.
