GCE O/Ls 2020: students able to proceed to A/L classes without results for aesthetic subjects
A special circular is to be issued by the Ministry of Education, citing the minimum qualifications required for the admission of students who sat for aesthetics subjects at the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2020, in order to begin classes for their Advanced Level syllabus.
The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2020 results were released last night (23), however, results of aesthetic subjects that required practical examinations were halted owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, Secretary of the Ministry Prof. Kapila Perera noted that students who sat for aesthetic subjects with five passes including two credit passes and have received a Skill Level between one and three will be able to proceed to the Advanced Level classes.
Nearly 170,000 students sat for Aesthetic subjects at the 2020 examination, he noted, adding that the practical examinations for these subjects will be held once schools are reopened.
