A special gazette notification has been issued appointing Ajith Mannapperuma to the vacant Parliament seat of Ranjan Ramanayake.
Election Commission Chairman Nimal Punchihewa said Ajith Mannapperuma's name will be gazetted today (08).
The Secretary General of the Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake had informed the Elections Commission of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena's announcement yesterday (07) regarding Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake's vacant seat.
