Ports Authority's operations declared an essential service

An extraordinary Gazette notification has been issued declaring that all services provided by the Ports Authority, an essential service.
Accordingly, Ports Authority's services will be considered essential services that have been permitted to continue operations during the curfew.
The Gazette notification has been issued by Secretary to the President, P.B. Jayasundara, on the President’s orders.
