G.C.E. O/L Exam: Results out in June – GL

The G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination 2020 results are expected to be released by June, Education Minister, Prof. G.L. Peiris said yesterday (22).
The G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination is scheduled to be held from 1 March to 10 March.
Speaking further, the Minister said the main objective of the Government and the Ministry is not to waste the precious time of the country’s youth.
“We are ready to face all the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, so that we can continue our education. A total of 622,305 candidates will appear for the examination, which will be held at 4,513 centres. 423,746 State and 198,606 Non-State school candidates are scheduled to appear and 542 coordinating centres have been set up,” he said.
Similarly, two special centres have been set up in each district for COVID-19 infected candidates. Also, arrangements have been made to ensure the health of the children in consultation with the principals, public health inspectors, and regional health officers.
