Ensuring health safety of A/L candidates: Report errant officials – Education Ministry
The Ministry of Education requested the public to call the 1988 hotline immediately, if the authorities for the safety of children sitting for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination are found to be irresponsible or do not receive the required healthcare facilities, in a manner that ensures the health of their children at any examination centre.
In a release, it stated the principal, deputy principal or senior teacher of the respective examination centres will be appointed as the Additional Headmaster (in charge), to disinfect the examination centres and perform the required hygiene practices, to ensure the complete health of the students appearing for the examination.
The examination, which commenced on 12 October, will be held until 6 November at 2,648 examination centres. 362,824 candidates have applied for the examination this year. (TR)
