Easter attacks: Case against 25, including Moulavi, to be heard next month
The Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar today (13) ordered the case filed against 25 suspects, including Naufer Moulavi, in relation to the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks to be taken up for consideration on 4 October.
The three-member panel of judges had directed the Superintendent of Prisons to issue summons on the suspects who are currently remanded in connection with the Easter attacks, to appear before the court on the said date.
The Trial-at-Bar appointed by the Chief Justice is headed by High Court judge Damith Thotawatte and comprises HC Judges Amal Ranaraja and Navaratne Marasinghe.
The Trial-at- Bar is tasked with hearing and determining the charges filed under the PTA including charges of conspiracy, preparation, aiding and abetting, collection of explosives and weapons, murder and attempted murder.
