Drug raids carried out in Mt Lavinia, Kosgoda, Peliyagoda

The STF seized 20kg of heroin concealed in the Kosgoda forest area during a special operation. The haul of heroin was handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that during the raid, Peliyagoda Police arrested a suspect with  50g of heroin while another was arrested with 20g of heroin by the Mt Lavinia Police.

“Police carried out three large scale narcotic raids were conducted in Mount Lavinia, Kosgoda and Peliyagoda areas. Investigations are underway to determine persons accountable for the haul of heroin,” he noted.
