Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahampath has urged Tamil politicians to not to sacrifice the future of Tamil youth for political gains. She points out that today's youth only wants to lead successful lives and to develop the Province.
Yahampath condemned the use of the youth for narrow political purposes, commenting on the hartal launched by the Student Union of the Jaffna University against the removal of a memorial.
The Governor further urged the Tamil political leadership to not use the youth to turn struggles into full blown conflicts for their own political goals.
