The Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila Perera stated that arrangements have been made for the reopening of schools for a long time and that parents should not have any undue fears about sending students to school.
He sated this on a TV program yesterday (22).
The Secretary said that the reopening of schools tomorrow was not a one-off decision but a long-term, well-informed decision taken by the Task Force on combatting Coronavirus under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
Schools reopened for students from grades 6-13, with the exception of isolated areas and Western Province.
