Officials mulling decision to lift isolation of several areas in Kalutara

Kalutara District Secretary Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara stated today (15) that a committee has been appointed to consider the possibility of opening several isolated Grama Niladhari Divisions including Atulugama in the next few days.
He was speaking to the media after a special discussion held at the auditorium of the Bandaragama Divisional Secretariat regarding the isolation of nine Grama Niladhari Divisions including Atalugama. Grama Niladhari Divisions within Atulugama have been isolated since 21 November 2020.
The District Secretary further stated that the issue of whether it is possible to open a few Grama Niladhari Divisions where the number of COVID-19 patients appears to be decreasing was also discussed.
A committee consisting of the health sector, security forces, and residents of the area has been appointed for this purpose.
