New General Secretary of the UNP Palitha Range Bandara said, disciplinary inquiries which commenced against former UNP Parliamentarians who while holding posts in the Party had acted against the Party Constitution, will be expedited.
Meanwhile, he said a proper procedure will be implemented early this year, to bring activities of the party back to normal which were delayed due to the ongoing pandemic.
He pointed out the need to plan activities from the grassroots and said just because they were defeated at an Election was no reason to rebuild the Party.
This has been pointed out by the founders of the UNP as well as leaders who took over the leadership of the Party subsequently, he added.
