Disciplinary action should be taken against SLFP – Thissakuttiarachchi

Disciplinary action should be taken against the SLFP for being double-tongued and attempting to sabotage the Government when it is a constituent partner of the same, SLPP MP Janaka Thissakuttiarachchi stressed in Colombo yesterday (20).
Speaking to the media, he added the SLFP, the Opposition and certain MPs in the Government are of the opinion that the current fertiliser issue would weaken the Government. Thissakuttiarachchi said SLFP Chairman Maithripala Sirisena was previously against the use of chemical fertiliser.
But he is now pretending to speak in favour of farmers protesting over the shortage of fertiliser that has taken place following the chemical fertiliser ban. ‘’Sirisena is now speaking on behalf of protesting farmers in a bid to pave the way for his son Daham Sirisena to be elected as the Chief Minister of the NorthCentral Province,” he alleged.
