Local SL-Poland direct flights resume

The first flight from Warsaw's Chopin Airport arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (8) to resume direct flights between Poland and Sri Lanka.

The Polish Airlines used a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, carrying 230 passengers, which was greeted with a water salute at the BIA.

According to our correspondent, the airline will operate  three days a week - Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays - during the winter season until 31 March next year.

This service, which remained suspended since the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks, will cater to the Western Europe, Scandinavian countries, Baltic countries and Central and Eastern Europe.
