Diana Gamage lashes out at SJB
SJB MP Diana Gamage on Friday (8) launched a scathing attack on the SJB for its decision to expel her from the party, saying that she is not a scarecrow and the SJB cannot make her dance to their tune.
The SJB Working Committee on Thursday (8) decided to expel Gamage from the party over her voting in favour of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.
Participating in the Adjournment Debate in Parliament, Gamage said she and her husband are the owners of the SJB and no one can chase her away from the party.
“My husband and I established this party. We are the owners of it. When some people were helpless we provided them shelter in our party. Now they say that they are the owners of that shelter.
They cannot chase us away as they please. I am not a scarecrow and the SJB cannot make me dance to their tune,” she asserted.
“It is a shameless act of Ranjith Maddumabandara to announce that I was expelled from the party. These people are behaving like babies. I request them to stop being jokers,” Gamage said.
