Fully vaccinated persons do not need to be quarantined : DGHS
Those arriving in Sri Lanka within 14 days of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and test negative at their on-arrival PCR test, will no longer need to undergo two weeks of quarantine.
This was confirmed by the Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena, after a revised set of quarantine guidelines for inbound travellers were issued yesterday (07).
Furthermore, those with a negative COVID-19 PCR test report obtained 72 hours prior to their departure to Sri Lanka will not be directed to quarantine, given that they test negative for COVID-19 at the on-arrival PCR test.
It was noted, however, that these revised regulations will not be applicable to those travelling from high-risk countries.
