Dehiwala man arrested for misleading Police

A person arrested for providing misleading information to Police via the 119 hotline was remanded till 18 January. The 40-year-old suspect has been identified as a resident of Caldera Road, Dehiwala. Investigations found that he had provided false information, with the intention of misleading the Police. Commenting on this, Police Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana, said stern action would be taken against the suspect. It was also found that the suspect was residing in the United States and Iran for a lengthy period.
