CSE records highest number of transactions in a single day

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recorded the highest number of transactions in a single day, yesterday (13).
The total number of transactions recorded during the day was 51,862. This is the first time in the history of the Colombo stock market that the number of transactions in a single day has crossed the 50,000 mark.
The previous highest number of transactions in a single day was recorded on 18 August 2011. The number of transactions that day was 49,921.
