Local 8 new COVID-19 cases in Prisons

Eight more COVID-19 cases were identified from Prisons across the island today (27), according to Prisons Media Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake, increasing the total number of cases reported to 4,855.

4,510 inmates and 153 Prison officials have recovered from the coronavirus disease, whilst 174 inmates and five officials are currently receiving treatment.
