The Mannar and Vavuniya Magistrates issued orders banning the ceremonies commemorating dead LTTE cadres, planned for the coming week.
Police Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana yesterday (19) said the Police had made the applications to Courts in Mannar and Vavuniya and obtained the restraining orders.
He also said that the Police will take stern action against individuals or groups who violate Court orders.
