All residents of Colombo above 60 years will be vaccinated against COVID-19, Mayor of Colombo Rosy Senanayake said.

The vaccination programme will be undertaken by the Colombo Municipal Council Public Health Department and will commence from 27 February. She hopes that in two weeks, 115,000 residents from Colombo Zones 1 to 15 will be successfully vaccinated. Citizens over 60 years should register with their local Public Health Inspector or Council Members for their Municipal ward, if they wish to be vaccinated. She stressed that this procedure must be followed for an efficient vaccination process. (TF)
