Sports Chamindu’s century helps SL U-19 to 240/9

Opener Chamindu Wickramasinghe became the first centurion of the series as Sri Lanka under-19 posted 240 for nine overs in the fifth and final ODI game against Bangladesh U-19 in Dambulla.

His 102 came off 123 deliveries with three sixes and 12 boundaries.

Together with Shevon Daniel, who made 59 off 85 deliveries with two sixes and three fours, Chamindu shared a third wicket partnership of 154 runs.

After their partnership was broken, the host team lost wickets at regular intervals.

In bowling for the Bangladeshi youths, Mushfik Hasan, Ripon Mondol and Ahosan Habib claimed three for 37, two for 43 and two for 56 respectively.

Sri Lanka are aiming for a clean sweep, after having won all previous game in the ODI series.
