Celebrate Thaipongal while abiding by health guidelines

Deputy Director-General of Health Services (Public Health) Dr. S. H. R. Perera informed the public who are celebrating Thaipongal to celebrate while abiding by the health guidelines issued by the Government. She stated this while speaking to the media yesterday (12).
The doctor further stated that the public needs to be careful because Covid 19 is still an immediate threat to the country.
Authorities and religious leaders have also been advised to take precautions and ensure that over 25 devotees don't gather for religiousss activities at one given occassion.
