CBSL extends suspension on PTL
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has extended the suspension of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) from carrying on business activities as a primary dealer for another six more months.
This was mentioned in a statement released by CBSL, which stated that the suspension has been extended in order to continue the investigations being conducted by the bank. Accordingly, the suspension will be effective from 04:30 p.m. 05 January.
The Central Bank initially suspended Perpetual Treasuries from carrying on business activities as a primary dealer on 06 July 2017.
