Cannabis farm raided in Thanamalwila

During a raid carried out by the Thanamalwila Police yesterday (18) in the Naliyawanaya area in Thanamalwila, a well-cultivated cannabis field was raided.
The police said that there were more than 3,000 cannabis trees that were nearly three feet high and valued at over Rs. 20 lakhs.
According to the Thanamalwila Police, the suspects had evaded arrest. Investigations are underway to arrest the suspects.
Police have set fire to all the cannabis trees in the area and further investigations are being carried out by the Thanamalwila Police.
