The cyclonic storm ‘BUREVI’ is now located closer to the coastal area in between Mannar and Pooneryn, and is gradually moving away from the island, the Department of Meterology said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in the Thrincomalee district.
Several spells of showers may occur in the Western and sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts, the Department added.
