Batti three roads isolated from 22 june

Three roads in the Pirainthuraichchenai, 206C Grama Niladhari (GN) Division have been isolated from 22 June following a request extended by the Batticaloa District COVID-19 Prevention Task Force; Koralaipattu Central MOH Dr. S. T. Najeebkhan said on Wednesday (23).
He said, the Batticaloa District COVID-19 Prevention Task Force has recommended isolating the First Cross Road, Second Cross Road and Abdullah Cross Road in the 206C GN Division until further notice following many COVID-19 cases being detected in these areas. Security has been beefed up in the areas by setting up road blocks at the entrances to the roads by Valaichchenai Police.
Meanwhile, two GN divisions on the Eravur Divisional Secretariat Division which had been isolated from 6 June were reopened on 22 June, Eravur Urban Area MOH Dr. Fathima Shafira Waseem said Wednesday (23).
Following the complaints made by the residents of these GN divisions at Eravur Urban Council (UC) that as their regions have been isolated for more than two weeks unnecessarily the UC Chairman took steps to reopen these regions in consultation with top rank security officials and health sector officials. She said that 56 persons had tested positive and three deaths have occurred from these areas so far.
