Bashing a Weekend
By Khalidha Naushad
If you're an introvert who despises going on excursions, picnics, or other activities, you've come to the right place. Despite this, going on vacations is still risky owing to the current pandemic issue. Working more than 40 hours a week can be mentally and physically draining, which is why you need to relax.
This does not imply that you must plan for resorts and villas, manage your transportation and holiday budgets. Relaxing at home, ordering your favourite meals, and watching Netflix series might be a great way to spend your weekend. Your weekends are precious, and you'll want to make the most of them, if you are looking for ways to enjoy your weekends at home, this article is for you.
Enjoy Netflix shows
Netflix and relaxation are the new normal, and catching up on your favourite series is a great way to decompress on the weekend. All you have to do now is order pizza from your favourite restaurant, as well as dessert for your family, and you're ready to go. Invite your friends, play a game or watch a movie, and order pizza and drinks. What else do you need to unwind? On Netflix, you can schedule back-to-back episodes of your favourite shows like Locke & Key, Money Heist, or Good Doctor.
Have a dinner party
Throwing a dinner party for your friends and family takes a lot of preparation, but it's one of the most pleasurable weekend activities. Furthermore, you can arrange BBQ parties at home and taste some delicious steaks, burgers, and sausages while enjoying a meaty celebration. The goal is to eat, eat and eat till you pass out.
Additionally, you can organise breakfasts, brunches, or a formal tea party. The main goal is to get dressed up, feel fancy, and have a casual conversation with friends. Finally, you may arrange potluck parties on a rotating basis, allowing all of your friends to host a lunch on weekends without having to take on the responsibility of cooking.
Pursue a passion
For years and decades, you work in an office and forget that you used to paint when you were younger. Knitting, photography, DIY projects, upscaling furniture, and gardening are all enjoyable hobbies that are also calming and therapeutic.
You can acquire new skills like nail air, raisin art, or mandala painting, for example. You may even cultivate your own tiny home garden and plant seedlings while keeping track of their progress. It's a gratifying experience to see the first leaf emerge from the dirt and watch it grow. Finally, if the home decor is your passion, you'll like cleaning and keeping your flat on weekends.
Pursuing your passion and releasing your latent skill is one of the best ways to unwind after a long week. It also encourages you to use the creative part of the brain to improve your problem-solving skills at work.
On Sunday evening, set aside at least one hour to enjoy aromatherapy at home. You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on spa treatments when you can create the same atmosphere in your own room.
You may now remove your luxurious bed sheets and bedspread. Then, dim the lights and light the scented candles around the room. You might also place some fresh potpourri on the bed.
Take a long shower, put on a face mask, and then relax on your bed. Close your eyes and relax rather than think about anything. It's one of the most effective methods to begin your week with a clear mind and renewed energy.
