Sports Asanka Gurusinghe appointed head coach of Nigerian cricket team

Veteran Sri Lankan cricketer Asanka Gurusinghe has been appointed as the head coach of the Nigerian national cricket team.

The Nigeria Cricket Federation stated that he will be the head coach of the Nigerian national cricket team for three years from tomorrow (1 December).

Gurusinghe was a member of the Sri Lankan cricket team when Sri Lanka won the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
