Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohammad Mihal on Tuesday (19) recalled the arrest warrants issued on CMC member Kulatissa Geekiyanage and nine other suspects, over their failure to appear in Court on a charge of unlawfully entering the premises of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development.
The arrest warrants were recalled, as the suspects were present in Court yesterday.
The Chief Magistrate had issued the arrest warrants to the CCD. Further hearing of the case was then deferred to 23 April.
The CCD had filed charges of illegal entry, and unlawful assembly at the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court against the 10 suspects, to the said Ministry premises on 28 October, three years ago.
