Army plants 100,000 saplings in East

The Army planted 100,000 saplings in the Eastern Province, yesterday (18).
The project was carried out at the Army’s Security Force Headquarters East.
The Forest Department also contributed by providing 100,000 saplings which included mee, kumbuk, tamarind, margosa, teak, and mahogany.
The prevailing rainy weather is also expected to assist these saplings grow.
