14- day mandatory quarantine for all foreign arrivals irrespective of vaccination
All travelers arriving from overseas must undergo quarantine irrespective of their COVID-19 vaccination status,the Director General of Health Services, Dr Asela Gunawardena says.
Dr Gunawardena mentioned this issuing a press release renewing the quarantine guidelines to be observed by persons who are arriving to Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, all travelers arriving from overseas, including foreign nationals and citizens of Sri Lanka are required to undergo 14-day mandatory quarantine.
All travelers will be released from quarantine upon negative results of PCR tests done on day one and day 14 of quarantine period.
Children under two years of age have been exempted from this measure, and it will be effective until 31 May.
