Afridi leaves LPL midway due to personal reasons
All-rounder Shahid Afridi has left the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) midway because of private issues.
Afridi, who was the skipper of Galle Gladiators, shared the rationale for leaving midway on Twitter to his fans.
“Sadly, I’ve a private emergency to take care of. I’ll return to affix again my staff at LPL instantly after the scenario is dealt with. All the very best,” he wrote.
Afridi made his entry to LPL with a splendid 20-ball half-century. He scored 70 runs in three matches with a fifty at an average of 23.33. Galle Gladiators is yet to register their first win in the tournament.
