ACYMMA to provide drinking water facilities

The All Ceylon Young Men’s Muslim Association (ACYMMA) is to provide drinking water facilities to selected underprivileged families throughout the country. This project will be implemented in places where Muslim, Sinhala and Tamil communities are densely populated, National Leader of ACYMMA Saheed M Rizwie said.

He said the project is to be implemented to mark Ramadan while building mutual understanding and reconciliation between communities.  

Rizwie said tube wells will be set up around religious places such as kovils, temples mosques and schools and added that the ACYMMA is engaged over a long period of in the construction of public wells in remote dry zone areas where shortage there is a shortage of drinking water.

Those who are in need of drinking water facilities have been asked to submit their applications to the ACYMMA Head office in Dematagoda Road, Maradana or through its regional directors.
