62 arrested for violating COVID-19 health guidelines

The number of persons who were arrested for violating COVID-19 health guidelines has risen to 527.
Police Spokesperson, DIG Ajith Rohana, said that 62 suspects were arrested in the last 24 hours for not wearing face masks and maintaining one-meter distance in public areas.
The public must wear face masks and maintain social distancing despite the area they live in, DIG Rohana added.
