45 Ukrainian tourists visit Sigiriya

45 Ukrainian tourists who arrived in Sri Lanka via the Tourism Pilot Project visited Sigiriya today (18).
The group, including former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga, arrived in Sigiriya with full security from the Police and Army. No locals were allowed to travel to Sigiriya at the time.
The Central Cultural Fund said that after the tourists leave, the location would be disinfected and Sigiriya would be reopened to local tourists.
