Sports 40 students  awarded Black Belts

Shotokan Ryu Karate Nissei kai Association of Sri Lanka presented 22 students with the International Black Belt Karate Degree and 18 students with the National Karate Black Belt Degrees at the Karate Degree Awards ceremony held on 26 July at Nisse Kai Dojo in Negombo.

Senior Lecturer Anoma Rathnayake from the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, Faculty of Social Sciences from the Kelaniya University was the Chief Guest of Honour and presented the International Black Belt Degree Awards. 

Shiran Crusepulle, the founder of HEADWAY Educational Centre, was the Special Guest of Honour, and along with President of the Shotokan Ryu Karate Nissei kai Association Mervin Fernandopulle and the chief instructor Gihan Soba Subasinghe, presented the National Karate Black Belt Degree Awards.
