A consignment of 230 metric tons of unrefined coconut oil was re-exported to Malaysia by 9.00 p.m. on 8 May, Customs Deputy Director (Legal Affairs) and Media Spokesman Sudattha Silva said. He said, "230 MT of unrefined coconut oil, imported by Edirisinghe Edible Oil (Pvt) Ltd., was loaded into twelve 20-foot containers from the company's warehouses and shipped to the SAGT terminal of Colombo Port on 30 April for re-exporting, under full supervision of Sri Lanka Customs," he added. The Customs also confirmed that the consignment was re-exported in the vessel 'Ever Ethic', which originally was scheduled to reach the Colombo Port on 4 May, but did not turn up as it left from India late.
