Legal action against 103 institutions for flouting quarantine regulations

Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 18 persons were arrested outside the Western Province for not abiding by quarantine regulations, including not wearing masks and maintaining social distancing over the past 24 hours.
Accordingly, the amount of persons who have been arrested for violating quarantine regulations exceeds 2,500.
Cases have also been filed against 103 institutions in connection with raids on public and private institutions for violating quarantine laws in the Western Province.
