176 schools in Kandy, Kalmunai Educational Zones closed

Already 176 schools coming under the purview of the Kandy and Kalmunai Educational Zones have been closed due to the COVID-19 threat, despite schools in Provinces other than the Western Province being reopened for the third term on 23 November.
In the Central Province, 145 schools have been closed while among them have been seven private schools and three pirivenas.
Meanwhile, 31 schools in the Kalmunai Educational Zone had also been closed.
