100,000 job program recruits not absorbed to health service: President

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa emphasises that those recruited by the Government under the 100,000 Jobs Program will not be absorbed into the Health Services.
The President points out that the propaganda that job seeker are admitted to the health service as permanent employees is completely untrue. He made this statement at a meeting of representatives of the trade union federation affiliated to the Sri Lanka People's Front held last evening.
President Rajapaksa pointed out that the 100,000 Job program is aimed at providing employment to those selected from low income families and lifting them out of poverty and that only those who do not have formal education or vocational qualifications or skills are recruited.
Selected personnel will be trained as workers, cleaners, and machinery operators in hospitals, schools, and government agencies.
