SL youths win 3rd ODI to secure series
Sri Lanka under-19 won the third ODI against Bangladesh by three wickets in Dambulla today (20) to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
After electing to bat first, Bangladesh made 184 all out in 49.3 overs.
They lost wickets at regular intervals and was deeply in trouble at 71 for seven.
But, Ashikur Zaman who top-scored with 54 off 73 deliveries, Ahosan Sabib 33 (54 deliveries) and Naimur Roman 27(46 deliveries) took their total to some respectability.
In bowling for the Sri Lankan youths, Vinuja Ranpul and Raveen de Silva captured three wickets each.
In reply, host team was coasting at 88 for two, but lost quick wickets just like their counterparts to be precariously placed at 127 for seven.
Shevon Daniels (85 off 116 deliveries) and Wanuja Sahan (38 off 53 deliveries) shared an unbroken stand of 66 runs to see their side home in 46.4 overs.
