Kandyan ‘Ves’ dancers welcome Indian Army Chief at airport
A bevy of Kandyan ‘Ves’ dancers of the Sri Lanka Army welcomed and greeted India's Chief of Army Staff Gen. Manoj Mukund Naravane on arrival at the Colombo International Airport this morning (12).
His host, Gen. Shavendra Silva extended a warm reception to the visiting Indian Army Chief and his delegation who are on a four-day goodwill visit.
During his stay in Sri Lanka, Gen. Naravane is due to pay courtesy calls on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa among others.
He will also grace the Gajaba Regiment’s Regimental Day (14) ceremony at Saliyapura and also pay homage to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.
