Politics Communist Party removes Raja Collure as its chairman

Raja Collure has lost his position as chairman of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, according to an announcement by the party today (24).

His removal came pursuant to a decision taken at a meeting of the CPSL’s central committee.

Collure has recently been quoted in the media as having warned teachers that as governor of the central province, he would consider cutting their salaries if they did not report for work upon the reopening of schools on 21 October.
