CIABOC yet to decide on summoning Nirupama

The investigating team constituted by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to look into the infamous Pandora Papers leak, which listed people with ill-gotten wealth, has yet to decide whether to summon former Deputy Minister Nirupama Rajapaksa.
Commission Secretary Apsara Caldera said she cannot confirm whether or not Rajapaksa will be summoned because the decision should be made by the investigating team who are still conducting probes.
The Bribery Commission submitted an interim report to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa without recording a statement from Rajapaksa, whose name is on the list. Caldera then stated that the commission was reviewing data collected from banks and state organisations connected to Thirukumar Nadesan, the former deputy minister’s husband.
