Agricultural Minister in self-isolation
Minister of Agriculture, Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been directed to follow self-quarantine measures following the detection of three COVID-19 infectees amongst his employees.
The Minister took to Facebook to announce that a member of his security force had tested positive for the virus on Friday (30), after which subsequent PCR tests revealed that two of his drivers too, had contracted the coronavirus disease.
Despite Aluthgamage and his family having tested negative, they have been in self-isolation, he claimed, as per the instructions given by their Public Health Inspector (PHI).
The Minister added that they will continue to remain in self-isolation at home, till a second PCR test is carried out.
