US will keep helping SL through crisis – Nuland

The US will continue to support Sri Lanka through the economic crisis, and will work together to support a free and prosperous region, Under Secretary for Political Affairs of the U.S. Department of State Victoria Nuland said.

Nuland made this remark when she met Foreign Minister Ali Sabry for talks in New York and assured continuous support to the country, as it battles to overcome an economic crisis.

The Under Secretary thanked Minister Sabry for engaging in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

She also pledged that the UN will continue to help Sri Lanka.
