16th Zahira Super 16 Soccer Championship on 1 October

Past Prefects’ Association of Zahira College Colombo have made arrangements to conduct the Deedat 16 Super 7’s soccer championship on 1 October. The event is being held for the 16th consecutive time, and will be held throughout the day at Race Course International Stadium.

Due to the current situation in the country, the organizing committee decided to invite only 16 leading schools from the Western Province, and these youngsters will get an opportunity to showcase their talents, skills and abilities at this championship.

An important aspect of this tournament is the venue. Race Course is a venue where international football matches are played, so the youngsters will get an opportunity to absorb the atmosphere and play in front of huge crowds.

Football is on the rise and the aim is to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 2030. It will be a big opportunity for the youngsters to perform well and catch the eye of the National selectors.

This tournament will be officiated by expert referees who have local and foreign experience, and who have been recommended by the Educational Ministry and the Football Federation of Sri Lanka.

Deedat are the title sponsor of this tournament.
