LIOC’s celebrates 20 years of service in Sri Lanka


To commemorate the 20 years of its service to Sri Lanka, Lanka IOC organised a grand celebration. The momentous occasion was marked by gracious presence of the Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Minister of Power & Energy Kanchana Wijesekara, other Cabinet and State Ministers, the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay, Members of Parliament, Governor Central Bank, Chairman Lanka IOC Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, the Board of Directors of Lanka IOC, Heads of Institutions and distinguished guests.

Manoj Gupta, MD LIOC welcomed all the dignitaries and guests and conveyed his gratefulness for sparing their valuable time and being part of the special event. In his address, Lanka IOC Chairman Mohapatra reflected on the glorious 20 years of growth, grit & greatness of the company, with several milestones and achievements during its eventful journey.

In his address, High Commissioner Baglay praised the unparallel efforts on LIOC during the challenging situation especially during last couple of months in maintaining a seamless energy supply to the country.

Minister Wijesekera also appreciated the crucial role of LIOC in overcoming the challenging energy crisis situation and complementing the government at every step and playing a significant role.

The musical evening which provided a remarkable opportunity for networking and exchange of pleasantries, was full of entertainment programmes with combination of Indian and Sri Lankan cultural and contemporary performances from renowned singers, dancers and other artists, thoroughly enjoyed by one and all making it an evening to cherish for times to come.
